Lists and tags
Group contacts into lists for campaigns, events and working sets, and label them with tags you can filter on.

Lists and tags both help you slice your network, and they do different jobs. A list is a named group you work through, such as the people you met at a conference or the contacts for a campaign. A tag is a label on a single contact, such as "Referral source", that you filter by.
A contact can be on many lists and carry many tags.
Create a list
- Open Network and select the Lists tab, or open Lists directly. Choose Create List.
- In Create New List, enter a List Name, for example "Q1 2024 Prospects". The name is required.
- Optionally add a Description.
- Choose a Type: General, Event or Campaign.
- Set Visibility to Private (only you) or Shared with team.
- Save the list.
Conference mode creates an event list for you. See Conference mode.
Add contacts to a list
- Select contacts in the Contacts table, then choose Add to list in the bar that appears. Pick an existing list, or type under New list name… to create one on the spot.
- Open a list and add people from there.
- When you import a CSV, tag every contact in the file so you can find them again as a group. See Import contacts and companies.
A contact's own Lists tab shows every list they belong to.
Work with a list
The lists page shows each list's Name, Type, Contacts, Created By and Created date. Sort by Newest First, Oldest First, Most Contacts, Least Contacts or Recently Updated, or search with Search lists....
Open a list to see its people and activity. You can export a list to a CSV file. With two or more lists, Merge combines them into one. Selecting contacts also gives you Add to campaign.
Tag contacts
- In the Contacts table, select one or more contacts.
- Choose Tag in the bulk action bar.
- In the dialog titled with how many contacts you picked, search for a tag or type a new name under Search or create a tag…. Tags you pick are shown under Selected.
- Confirm.
You can also set tags on a single contact when you add it (the Tags field), and import a tag on every contact in a CSV file.
Show the Tags column from Columns and filter the table by tag from Filters.
Lists or tags
Use a list when you want to work through a group in order, share it with colleagues or send it to a campaign. Use a tag for a lasting property that you will filter on in many places, such as a source or a sector.
What happens next
Ask Lexi to build on a list for you, for example "Who on this list have I not spoken to in 90 days?". See Meet Lexi.
