Reconnect an expired Google or Microsoft connection
What Reconnect Required means, how to reconnect Gmail, Outlook and calendar in a minute, and what happens to your data.
Last updated
A Google or Microsoft connection can expire when the provider ends the session. LeadLex then shows Reconnect Required on the account. Reconnecting takes a minute and keeps your data where it is.
- Open Settings → Email & Calendar.
- Find the account marked Reconnect Required. It shows a Connection expired note saying the access token has expired.
- Choose Reconnect Google or Reconnect Microsoft.
- Sign in and approve the access again.
- The account returns to Connected. Choose Sync now to catch up.
If you choose Sync now on an expired account, a message says the connection expired and asks you to reconnect first. If a sync runs into an expired connection, a message offers a Reconnect button directly.
What happens to your data
Emails and meetings already synced stay in LeadLex. New mail arrives again once the connection is back.
If reconnecting does not help
Disconnect the account, then connect it again from Connect Google or Connect Microsoft. If LeadLex reports that additional permissions are required, this is the fix.
Chat channels
A chat channel that needs attention shows Needs attention, reconnect in Integrations in Settings → Notifications. Open Settings → Integrations and connect it again. See Lexi is not answering in chat.
What happens next
Each person reconnects their own account, so a colleague's expired connection is theirs to fix.
