Private contacts and lists in LeadLex: what the label does
LeadLex shows a Private label on contacts and lists, but it does not hide them from your colleagues today. Here is what to rely on instead.
Last updated
The Private label on a contact or a list is a marker only. It does not hide the record from anyone in your workspace today. Do not use it to keep information confidential.
Where you see it
- A contact marked private shows a Private badge with a lock in its header.
- On the contact filters you can choose Private to find the marked contacts.
- When you create a list, there is a Private option.
All three work as labels and filters. Teammates in the same workspace can still open the contact or the list.
What to do when something must stay confidential
- Keep sensitive notes out of the shared CRM. Store them in your firm's own system instead.
- Remember who has access. Every Member can read and edit contacts, companies and deals, and LeadLex has no read-only role. See Roles and permissions.
- Give a login only to people who should see the workspace.
What happens next
If you need a record removed after a data request, see Delete records, erase a person or close your workspace.
