Connect Slack to LeadLex and chat with Lexi
How a workspace admin connects Slack, the three ways to message Lexi, and what to try if the connection fails. Slack is in beta.
Last updated
An admin connects Slack under Settings → Integrations → Slack → Connect Slack. Slack is in Beta for LeadLex, which means it works and we are still improving it. Lexi joins your Slack workspace as a bot. A workspace admin connects it for the whole firm, and members see Admins only on the card.
Connect Slack
- Open Settings → Integrations and select Slack.
- Choose Connect Slack. Add to Slack does the same.
- In the window that opens, pick your Slack workspace and authorize the LeadLex bot.
- The window closes and LeadLex confirms with "Slack connected" and the workspace name.
Three ways to ask Lexi
- Send Lexi a direct message.
- Mention @Lexi in any channel.
- Type /lexi followed by your question for a quick lookup, such as "/lexi open deals with Nordlicht GmbH".
Choose your notifications
After Slack connects, LeadLex asks which notifications you want there. Every box starts unticked, and nothing is sent until you tick one.
If it fails
"Slack connection failed: state mismatch. Please try again." means the sign-in window and LeadLex lost track of each other. Close the window and start again from Connect Slack. If you cancel on Slack's approval screen, nothing is connected.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect on the card and confirm. You can reconnect at any time.
