Connect Gmail to LeadLex and sync your email
What the Gmail connector syncs, the three switches you control, how far back the first sync reaches and how to disconnect.
Last updated
The Gmail connector links your Google mailbox to LeadLex so your emails appear on the contacts, companies and deals they belong to. Its status is Live. Each person connects their own mailbox, and nobody can connect one for you.
Connect Gmail
- Open Settings and choose Email & Calendar.
- Under Connected Accounts, choose Connect Google.
- Sign in to Google and approve the access LeadLex asks for.
- You return to Email & Calendar with the account showing Connected.
The same Google connection also carries Google Calendar. See Connect Google Calendar.
What each switch does
Three switches on the account decide what LeadLex uses.
| Switch | What it does |
|---|---|
| Syncs your emails. Turning it on starts a sync of the last 90 days. Google also asks for permission to send email on your behalf. | |
| Calendar | Syncs calendar events in both directions. |
| Contacts | Lets you import contacts from the account. |
Emails with people already in your CRM are matched to their records. Mail from addresses under Blocked Senders is not synced.
Sync by hand
Under each switch you see when it last synced. Choose Sync now to run it straight away. If a sync fails, the red Sync error link shows why.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect on the account. Emails already synced stay in LeadLex and no new ones arrive. You can reconnect at any time.
What happens next
If the account later shows Reconnect Required, follow Reconnect an expired connection. For mail that does not arrive, see Email is not syncing.
