Connect Microsoft Outlook to LeadLex and add the Outlook pane
Link your Microsoft mailbox and calendar to LeadLex, then add the LeadLex pane inside Outlook with the Microsoft 365 app package.
Last updated
Outlook works with LeadLex in two separate ways. Connect Microsoft syncs your mailbox and calendar. The Microsoft 365 app package adds a LeadLex pane inside Outlook itself. Outlook is Live. You can use either one without the other.
| Part | What it does | Who sets it up |
|---|---|---|
| Connect Microsoft | Syncs your mailbox and calendar | Each person |
| Microsoft 365 app package | Adds the LeadLex pane inside Outlook | Your Microsoft 365 admin |
Sync your mailbox and calendar
- Open Settings and choose Email & Calendar.
- Under Connected Accounts, choose Connect Microsoft.
- Sign in to Microsoft and approve the access LeadLex asks for.
- The account shows Connected. Expand it to set the Email, Calendar and Contacts switches.
Turning on Email starts a sync of the last 90 days. Sync now runs a sync on demand. The steps and switches match Connect Gmail.
Add the LeadLex pane inside Outlook
The pane comes in the same download as Lexi for Teams. A workspace admin sets it up.
- Open Settings → Integrations and select Microsoft 365.
- Download leadlex-m365-app.zip.
- Your Microsoft 365 admin opens Admin center → Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom app, sets App type to Teams app, uploads the zip and assigns users.
- The pane appears in Outlook on the web and on Windows a few minutes later.
Outlook on Mac needs one more upload. Run the same wizard again with App type set to Office Add-in, and upload the Outlook add-in manifest (XML) linked on the card.
Turn Lexi on or off in the Outlook pane
On the Microsoft 365 card, the switch Lexi in Outlook shows or hides the Lexi tab in the pane. When it is on, the open email, its thread from your synced inbox and any attachment a person picks are sent to Lexi on request. When it is off, the pane keeps contact capture, email logging, tasks and follow-ups. Only admins can change it.
What happens next
To use Lexi in Teams too, see Connect Microsoft Teams.
