Lexi is not answering in Teams, Slack, WhatsApp or Telegram
Fixes for a chat channel that connected but stays silent, from admin only setup and expired Telegram links to the WhatsApp 24 hour window.
Last updated
If Lexi does not answer in a chat app, check the channel status first. Open Settings → Notifications and look at the channel's status.
| Status | Meaning | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Connected | Linked | Check credits below |
| Needs attention, reconnect in Integrations | The link broke | Reconnect it |
| Say hi to the bot to enable | Teams, before your first message | Message Lexi in Teams |
| Not connected | Never set up | Connect it |
| 24h window expired, falls back to email | WhatsApp only | Message Lexi to reopen it |
Check these in order
- Is it connected? Open Settings → Integrations and look at the card. It should say Enabled. Reconnect if it says Needs attention or Disabled.
- Who connected it? Only admins can connect or disconnect Slack and Teams. Members connect WhatsApp and Telegram for themselves.
- Are you out of credits? Lexi's replies use credits. See Out of credits.
Teams
The app package must be uploaded with App type set to Teams app. The Office Add-in type refuses the zip. After installing, send Lexi a message so LeadLex detects your workspace, then choose Enable Teams chat channel.
Slack
If the connection reports a state mismatch, close the sign-in window and choose Connect Slack again. Slack is in beta.
When the 24 hour window has expired, notifications fall back to email. Send Lexi any WhatsApp message to reopen the 24 hour window.
Telegram
The one time link expires after 10 minutes. Choose Connect with Telegram for a new one. Telegram is in beta.
What happens next
Notifications you did not tick are never sent to a channel. Choose them under Settings → Notifications.
