Connect Microsoft Teams to LeadLex and chat with Lexi
Install the Microsoft 365 app package, enable the Teams chat channel in LeadLex, and switch it off again without touching Outlook.
Last updated
An admin uploads the Microsoft 365 zip, you message Lexi in Teams, then the admin chooses Enable Teams chat channel. Microsoft Teams is Live in LeadLex. Lexi becomes a bot in Teams that you can ask about contacts, deals, tasks and meetings. In the app the card is called Microsoft 365, because the same download adds the LeadLex pane to Outlook. Only workspace admins can enable or disable the Teams chat channel.
Install and enable
- Open Settings → Integrations and select Microsoft 365.
- Download leadlex-m365-app.zip.
- Install the zip, either for the whole firm or just for yourself.
- Whole firm: your Microsoft 365 admin opens Admin center → Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom app, sets App type to Teams app, uploads the zip and assigns users. Do not choose Office Add-in, which accepts only XML and refuses the zip.
- Just you: open Teams, go to Apps → Manage your apps → Upload a custom app and choose the zip.
- Send Lexi a message in Teams. LeadLex detects your workspace. Until you do, Settings → Notifications shows Say hi to the bot to enable for Teams.
- Back in Settings, choose Enable Teams chat channel. A confirmation says "Teams enabled. Send Lexi a message to complete setup."
Notification choices
The first time a chat channel connects, LeadLex asks which notifications you want there. Every box starts unticked. Nothing is sent to the channel until you tick something.
Switch it off
Choose Disconnect Teams chat channel. This stops the chat channel only. Installed Outlook panes keep working.
What happens next
Ask Lexi anything you would ask in the app, such as "What is open with Nordlicht GmbH?" See Lexi prompt tips.
