Get started with LeadLex

Connect your mailbox and import your contacts on day one. Put your live matters in a pipeline in week one, then start prospecting in month one. These 15 steps follow that order, and each one links to the guide that walks you through it.

Day 1

Get your firm, your inbox and your contacts into one workspace.

0 of 4 done

  1. Needs a workspace admin

Lexi sets up the workspace from your firm's website. Colleagues you invite work on the same companies and deals.

Done when Your colleagues show on Settings → Team, as members or as pending invitations.

  2. Most client history lives in email. Once your mailbox is connected, LeadLex shows mail and meetings on the matching contacts.

Done when Your account is listed under Connected Accounts in Settings → Email & Calendar.

  3. Bring in a CSV from your old system. A workspace admin can also connect HubSpot. Companies come in alongside the people.

Done when The import shows how many contacts were imported, and Network lists them.

  4. Lexi answers from your own data. An admin sets how far it may act without asking under Autonomy in the Tasks tab of Lexi. Start with something you can check in a minute, like a pipeline health check.

Done when Lexi has answered your first question from your own data.

Week 1

Put your live matters in a pipeline and make sure nothing waits on memory.

0 of 5 done

  1. If your import contained likely duplicates, LeadLex flags them. Merging them keeps every email and meeting on one record.

Done when You have reviewed each group of likely duplicates LeadLex found, if there were any.

  2. Needs a workspace admin

Each mandate becomes a deal with a stage, a value and a probability, so the weighted forecast means something.

Done when Your open matters sit in stages on the Pipeline board.

  3. Needs a workspace admin

Follow-up dates and recommended task rules create the routine reminders for you, such as a revisit task when a deal is lost.

Done when Today on the Tasks page shows real work, and at least one task rule is enabled.

  4. Lists are working sets for an event or a campaign. Tags are labels you create, for example Referrer, and filter by.

Done when Your first list exists and your key referrers carry a tag.

  5. Needs a workspace admin

Ask about a client or a deal from the chat app you already have open, without switching to LeadLex.

Done when Lexi has replied to you in your chat app.

Month 1

Go after new work, and connect the tools your team already uses.

0 of 6 done

  1. Search people by profile, or start from register filings to see who is filing and who represents them. Prospector runs on credits.

Done when Your first prospects are saved to Network or added to a list.

  2. Needs a workspace admin

Skills such as patent search and conflict check go beyond chatting about your CRM. Some are always on, and an admin switches on the rest.

Done when Settings → Lexi AI → Skills lists the skills your firm needs as active.

  3. Conference mode links everyone you meet to the event, and the Wrap-up phase lists who still needs a follow-up so you can bulk assign them.

Done when Your next event has its attendees and each follow-up assigned.

  4. Ask your own assistant about contacts, deals and tasks. It works inside your workspace and acts as you.

Done when Your assistant answers "What's in my pipeline?" from LeadLex.

  5. Two-factor sign-in protects your own account. It takes a minute and is worth doing before you invite more colleagues to rely on it.

Done when The Personal Two-Factor Authentication card under Settings → Security & Privacy says your account is protected with two-factor authentication.

  6. Needs a workspace admin

In a new workspace, synced email and calendar events are private to their owner by default. An admin can make them visible to the team, and each person can share their own. Settle that, and know how a GDPR deletion request works, before a client asks.

Done when An admin has checked the three Privacy & Sharing switches under Settings → Team (emails, calendar events, contacts).

Questions

About this checklist.

  • If you are an admin, set up the workspace and invite your colleagues, then connect your Gmail or Outlook mailbox. Most of your client history lives in email, and once the mailbox is connected LeadLex shows emails and meetings on the matching contacts. Then import the contacts you already have.

  • Not for most of it. Steps marked "Needs a workspace admin" involve settings only admins can change: inviting people, pipeline settings, task rules, connecting Teams or Slack, switching Lexi skills on, and Privacy & Sharing. Members can do every other step themselves.

  • In your browser, on this device. It is not stored in your LeadLex account, so it does not follow you to another computer and your team cannot see it. If your browser blocks site data, the checklist still works but clears when you leave the page.

  • Write to lexi@leadlex.com with the step and what you see instead. A screenshot helps, and we correct the guide.
