Email is not syncing
A checklist for emails that do not appear on contacts, from the Connected status and the Email switch to Sync now, Sync error and blocked senders.
Last updated
When emails stop appearing on your contacts, open Settings → Email & Calendar and check four things in this order: the account status, the Email switch, the Sync error link and your Blocked Senders.
- Look at the account status. It should say Connected. If it says Reconnect Required or Connection expired, follow Reconnect an expired connection.
- Check the Email switch. Expand the account and make sure Email is on. If it is off, LeadLex shows "Email sync is disabled". Turning it on starts a sync of the last 90 days and shows "Starting email sync…".
- Run Sync now. A message says "Synced" with the number of emails.
- Open Sync error. If the red Sync error link is there, it shows the reason for the last failure.
If a sender never shows up
Look at the Blocked Senders card on the same page. Emails from a blocked address are not synced. Remove the address from the list and sync again.
Messages you may see
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Email not connected | Connect your account under Connected Accounts. |
| Account reconnection required | Reconnect Google or Microsoft. |
| Additional permissions required | Disconnect and reconnect your account, and approve the access again. |
| Sync temporarily unavailable | Wait a moment and try Sync now. If it persists, reconnect the account. |
If the contact is missing
Mail from a person who is not in your CRM has nothing to attach to. Add the person, or see Contacts missing.
