You do not have to open LeadLex to use Lexi. Connect a chat app and message Lexi from there, the same way you would message a colleague.

| Channel | Status | Who connects it |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Teams | Live | A workspace admin |
| Slack | Beta | A workspace admin |
| WhatsApp | Live | Each person for themselves |
| Telegram | Beta | Each person for themselves |

Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp is live. Slack and Telegram are in beta, which means they work and we are still improving them. Expect rough edges and tell us what you find.

All channels are set up under **Settings → Integrations**. Admin-only channels show a notice for members who are not admins.

## Microsoft Teams

In the app this card is called **Microsoft 365**, because one download installs Lexi in Teams and the LeadLex pane in Outlook.

1. Open **Settings → Integrations** and select **Microsoft 365**.
2. Download the package, **leadlex-m365-app.zip**.
3. To install it for the whole firm, your Microsoft 365 admin opens **Admin center → Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom app**, sets **App type** to **Teams app** (not "Office Add-in"), uploads the zip and assigns users.
4. To install it just for yourself, open Teams, go to **Apps → Manage your apps → Upload a custom app** and choose the zip.
5. Send Lexi a message in Teams. LeadLex detects your workspace.
6. Back in Settings, choose **Enable Teams chat channel**.

The Outlook pane appears a few minutes after install, with nothing extra to turn on. Outlook on Mac needs one more upload, using the Outlook add-in manifest (XML) linked on the same card.

To switch it off, choose **Disconnect Teams chat channel**. Installed Outlook panes are not affected.

## Slack

1. Open **Settings → Integrations**, select **Slack** and choose **Connect Slack**. You can also choose **Add to Slack**.
2. Pick your Slack workspace and authorise the LeadLex bot.
3. You return to LeadLex, where the card shows the workspace under **Connected to**.

Then message Lexi three ways: send it a direct message, mention **@Lexi** in any channel, or type **/lexi** followed by your question for a quick lookup.

## WhatsApp

1. Open **Settings → Integrations** and select **WhatsApp**.
2. Enter your phone number with the country code and send the code.
3. Enter the 6-digit code you receive on WhatsApp and verify.
4. Choose which notifications you want on WhatsApp. The options are **Morning briefing**, **Task reminders**, **Deal alerts** and **Approval requests**.

The card lists what you can do there: scanning business cards, sending voice notes, and getting task reminders and deal alerts.

## Telegram

1. Open **Settings → Integrations** and select **Telegram**.
2. Choose **Connect with Telegram**. LeadLex makes a one-time link that expires after 10 minutes and works once.
3. Telegram opens a chat with the Lexi bot. Tap **Start**.

You are linked straight away. Message Lexi to ask about contacts, deals, tasks and meetings, or use the **/ask** command.

## What to ask

Anything you would ask in the app: "What is open with Nordlicht GmbH?", "Add a task to call Maria Weber on Friday" or "Who have I not spoken to this quarter?" Lexi answers from your workspace and can make the same changes it makes in the app, within the freedom you gave it. See [Meet Lexi](/help/getting-started/meet-lexi).

## If it does not connect

- Check that you are signed in to the right Slack workspace or Telegram account.
- Teams needs a workspace admin on the Microsoft side before anyone can install the app.
- Only admins can connect or disconnect Slack and Teams.
